Vastu Shastra is an ancient science of Architecture and directional energy to create a harmonious and peaceful environment in a built space, home, office, warehouse etc,. The main purpose of Vastu Shastra is to ensure that all residents or people living or working in the built space is healthy, peaceful and prosperous.
Here I have listed 10 Commandments as per Vastu Shastra. Check how your place is as per these commandments.
· THE 1st COMMANDMENT: The main water source or a water feature, borewell or any depression should be towards the North-East or North.
· THE 2nd COMMANDMENT: the maximum ventilation should be from North and east with South and west partially closed.
· THE 3rd COMMANDMENT: house should have more open space towards North, east and Northeast compared toSouth, west and southwest.
· THE 4th COMMANDMENT: The master bedroom, CEO’s office should be towards the South-West.
· THE 5th COMMANDMENT: The centre should be light and airy.
· THE 6th COMMANDMENT: slope of roof should be to North, Northeast or east. Same directions for slope in the plot.
· THE 7th COMMANDMENT: TheSouth and West floor levels should be same level as rest of the house or higher than the North and East.
· THE 8th COMMANDMENT: TheSouth and West boundary wall should be same as the rest or higher and thicker than the North and East walls.
· THE 9th COMMANDMENT: The entrance is preferred from the North, Northeast or East for an independent house. For an Apartment, these area should have more windows and terrace or balcony. Entrance can be from any direction.
· THE 10th COMMANDMENT: You should sleep with your head towards the south.
